Request for Proposal for New Payment Technologies
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is soliciting
proposals (Proposals) for the replacement of SEPTAs existing fare payment and
collection system with a state-of-the-art, integrated, electronic fare payment, distribution,
collection and processing system utilizing available best practices of modern technologies
in the consumer and fare payment sectors capable of interfacing with both bank and nonbank
financial clearing systems for transaction processing and settlement. This system
has been entitled New Payment Technologies (NPT) System.
