Request for Proposal - Employee Health Insurance Benefits
The City is a full service municipal corporation located in Illinois. The City employs approximately 125 full time staff members. All full time staff members are eligible for group benefits immediately upon hire and 100% of the eligible employees are enrolled in the medical group benefit plan. Of the 125 full-time employees, approximately 97 are in one of five collective bargaining units that range from 8 to 25 members. The City also provides retirees with the option to retain their city health insurance at their own cost. Currently, there are approximately 340 total covered lives in the city health plan. Open enrollment period is from August 1st �" August 31st of every year.
The City provides group medical benefits for its employees, their families, and retirees. The City pays 100% of the employee’s premiums and 95% of the dependent premiums.
