Request for Letters of Interest and Statements of Qualifications for Construction Services
The University invites highly qualified firms to submit a letter of interest and associated
supporting materials for consideration in the selection of a team to provide construction
services for the University in accordance with the provisions of the University of Virginia
Higher Education Capital Outlay Manual. The project construction documents have been
completed and the contract will be awarded on a Competitive Negotiation Contractor-
Fixed Price basis. The project consists of repairing structurally deficient or damaged
sections of the utility distribution tunnels and the replacement of a significant portion of
the medium temperature hot water (MTHW) distribution piping serving Central Grounds
and points to the south and west.
