This Request for Information (RFI) is the initiation of market research under Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
This announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Quote or a Request for Proposal and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. Nothing in this announcement constitutes an obligation on the part of the U.S. Government, nor is the Government tasking any source to develop any technologies described herein.
The U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), a subordinate command to the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, is seeking companies which evaluate Enterprise I/T Architectures for the review and documentation of their Enterprise Architecture within the constraints of the U.S. Army's regulations. ATC requests vendors describe, in non-customer specific terms, their experience and capabilities as it relates to methodologies and best practices in support of the documentation and evaluation of the Enterprise Architecture performed in support of Army organizations.
ATC's current architecture supports a user base of 2,000 people, and is comprised of a heterogeneous mixture of storage, computational and network technologies. Some of these technologies include: Storage Area Networks, Virtualized Server Infrastructure, Web, File, Print servers, Applications Servers, components of a Service Oriented Architecture (SoA) and Enterprise Document Management Platforms. ATC is also bound by the U.S. Army's identity management technologies (Common Access Cards, PKI, etc.).
The anticipated NAICS Code for the forthcoming requirement is 518210 with a small business size standard of $32,500,000.00. As part of the RFI response, please state if your company is a small business under NAICS 518210.
Contractors must be properly registered in the Government's System for Award Management (SAM) (formerly known as the Central Contractor Registration CCR). SAM registration can be found at https://www.sam.gov.
All interested sources should provide the requested information in Microsoft Office Word format. Submissions shall not exceed 10 pages. All interested sources should provide the requested information regarding this RFI NO LATER THAN 2:00PM EST, on 05 Dec 14 to Ms. Aqua Jefferson at: aqua.m.jefferson.civ@mail.mil. Responses received after 2:00PM EST, on 05 Dec 14 may not be considered in the Government's market research. For questions, potential respondents shall email Ms. Aqua Jefferson at the aforementioned email address. The Government will review submissions as they are received. Place of Performance shall be at the contractor's facilities except for select tasks which will be required to be performed on-site at ATC located on Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005.
