The Government is considering an acquisition strategy which includes multiple award development contracts with a competitive down select for production. The Government would like to learn about industrys ability to design and manufacture each subcomponent and/or the subsystem as a whole, any perceived risks on capability requirements, and the potential acquisition timeline. Major components of an Active Subsystem include: Projector Assemblies, Amplifiers, Marine Mammal Monitoring (M3) Sonar, Cabling, Connectors, Junction Boxes, Array Motion Monitor (AMM) Sensors, and a Handling System. THIS IS A RFI ONLY. THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.
