Presently the UNs custodial arrangements and all reporting, record keeping are handled by a single bank (Global Custodian). However, the UN now intends that a single Master Record Keeper (MRK) be contracted to undertake the functions of all reporting and record keeping in conjunction with multiple regional custodians to be contracted separately.
