Replacement of Natural Gas Boiler System at Northern California Service Center
The purposes of this modification is to provide additional information and drawings of the Operations Building. This modification also extends the closing date to 6/11/2014 at 4:30 PM.
The Boiler is located on the second floor of the Operations Building. This building was re-constructed in 1982-1983 after a fire destroyed the building. There is a stairway and landing that was built in the warehouse area (1st Floor) after the construction was complete on the new building. The door at the stairway and landing is typically how large size equipment is removed and loaded into 2nd floor of the Operations Building.
It is not known if the landing can support the weight of the existing boiler. The Contractor needs to take into consideration that removing the existing boiler; may require cutting and disassembling the existing boiler to remove it from the building due to the weight of the boiler. The weight of the existing boiler is approximately 3,000 lbs.
Provide the following information as part of your quote:
Bid Option Item 001 - Provide and install a water treatment system for the Boiler. Award of this item is dependent on available funding.
Provide the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule for the Boiler you are proposing.
