Pre-solicitation Notice W9127S-14-R-0013: This solicitation will be advertised as a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333923 (Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing). The small business size standard is 500 Employees The solicitation is for a firm fixed priced construction contract to replace the monorail hoist at Beaver Powerhouse, White River, Carroll County, AR & Greers Ferry Powerhouse, Little Red River Basin, Cleburne County, AR. The work includes removal of the existing draft tube hoist, electrical power, and conductor bars. Contractor shall provide a new hoist and trolley, track where required, conductor bar electrical system, and inspect the existing lifting beam. Work also includes lead paint requirements, asbestos abatement, performance and load testing, training, and incidental related work at Beaver and Greers Ferry Powerhouses. The Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000 & $5,000,000.
Solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) utilizing FAR 15. Proposals will be evaluated utilizing the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) method. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only at the Army's Single Face to Industry Website (ASFI) on or about 6/23/14. It is each offeror's responsibility to download the solicitation from the internet website. No paper copies will be provided. Notification of amendments shall be made via the Internet as well. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the ASFI website daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
