Project Description: The work specified in this contract is to decommission and replace the existing Harrison Gulch Compound (site) pressurized wastewater system with individual or grouped building conventional gravity septic systems.

Due to the site's spotted owl limited operating period, mechanized site clearing including operating chainsaws and using construction equipment for excavation and filling will not begin until August 1st, 2015 for sites #1-7. And due to a timber sale all work at site #8 will not begin until September 1st, 2015.


Solicitation Documents: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP) under. The solicitation documents will be available electronically to download from this website on or about November 6, 2014.


Location: Harrison Gulch Compound is located in Shasta County off of California Highway 36, adjacent to the Yolla Bolla Ranger Station office in Section 14, T29M, R10W, Mount Diablo within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The project area is 3 miles west of Platina, California, at approximately 40° 21' 47.16" N, 122° 57' 29.94" W.


Price Range: $250,000 - $500,000


Contract Time: 60 calendar days

Estimated Start Date: August 01, 2015.


Prebid Site Visit: A site visit is scheduled November 18, 2014.

Set-Aside: This project is 100% set aside for small businesses.


Bonds: A Bid guarantee is required with the offer, bid guarantees will be allowed to be submitted electronically with the proposal with follow up of original. Payment and Performance Bonds for the full contract price will be required of the successful contractor and will need to be furnished within 5 days of award.


Response Location: Offers will be accepted at the Northern California Acquisition Service Area, Redding Office, located within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest Headquarters at 3644 Avtech Parkway, Redding, CA 96002 NO LATER than 4:00 p.m. PDT on date indicated on solicitation.


SAM REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award. SAM is a consolidation of the former Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and On-line Representation and Certification Application (ORCA) databases.
