Replace ventilation/air heating system, indoor range, USAG Baumholder, Germany.
1. Replacement of ventilation/air heating system, indoor range, bldg. 8572, USAG Baumholder, Germany. Construction work entails, as a minimum, the following:
-demolition and dismantling work, e.g. dismantling of the directly fired supply air unit including heating oil tank and chimney made of stainless steel
- removal and disposal of hazardous waste
- replacement of a supply air and separate return air unit for the indoor range with an air flow of approximately 22,000 cubic meter/h each, including ventilation ducts, air outlets and accessories
- replacement of the utility monitoring and control system
- heating work for the heat recovery as looped composite system and connection of the new air heater of the supply air unit to the existing boiler
- thermal insulation work
-required construction and electrical work
2. Period of Performance is 120 calendar days with a 15 days commencement time after issuance of a Notice to Proceed.
3. The magnitude of the construction work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
4. The solicitation will be issued on or about 5 May 2014 with an anticipated bid opening of approximately 10 June 2014. The solicitation will be posted at the following website: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon parties to review the website frequently for any updates/amendments.
5. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the Theater Contracting Center, USAG Rheinland Pfalz.
6. Work will be performed in Germany. Contractors must comply with German law (e.g. authorization to do business in Germany).
