PRESOLICITATION NOTICE
Project #652-19-117 Roof Replacement over Catheterization Lab

The Department of Veterans Affairs, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Asheville, NC has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision for Project 652-19-117, to replace the roof over the catheterization lab at Building 500 at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond, VA.
General Scope: The Contractor will provide all transportation, material, hardware, parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision and technical expertise to replace the roof over the catheterization lab at Building 500. Work shall include, but not be limited to:
Demolition, architectural, plumbing, and electrical (lightning protection) associated with roof replacement.
Disconnect the existing lightning protection system and replace, and add protection as noted in contract documents.
Remove all existing roofing materials down to the existing insulation on sections small enough to make watertight at the end of each day.
Railing system that complies with OSHA 1926.502B shall be installed across the entire portion of the roof.
Work includes general construction, necessary to replace approximately 2,980 sq. ft. of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (E.P.D.M) roofing membrane on roof above the Cathartic Laboratory of Richmond VAMC Bld. 500
Estimated construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS CODE: 238160 Size Standard: $15.0 Million
This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about July 25, 2019. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 28 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation.
