PRESOLICITATION NOTICE
Replace HVAC Units 2 and 5
The Department of Veterans Affairs, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249 has a requirement for a contractor to replace HVAC units 2 and 5 in the main Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC).
General Scope: The contractor shall supply all labor, materials and supervision necessary to replace HVAC Systems 2 and 5 with new units in accordance with the drawings, specifications and other contract documents that will be included in the solicitation.
Work shall include, but is not limited to demolition, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and controls:
Conduct pre-construction test and balancing
Install a temporary air handling unit (AHU) to maintain space temperature and ventilation requirements
Remove existing AHU s, associated ductwork, fire dampers and install new
Every worker needs to complete a VA safety briefing prior to starting work
All work to be performed during normal business hours; weekend and night work must be pre-approved
Provide clean up and remove all debris
Estimated construction magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000.

This solicitation is anticipated to be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about June 5, 2019. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 30 business days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for the site visit will be identified in the solicitation.
