Repair Fire/Smoke Dampers
The Department of Veterans Affairs is pleased to announce the release of the attached request for quote (RFQ) for the repair of fire and smoke dampers for various areas throughout the Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), located at 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes-Barre PA., 18711.
This RFQ is set-aside for small business concerns.
Please email your quote to Mr. John W. Evans at john.evans15@va.gov no later than noon Eastern, 22 August, 2017.
There is a site visit scheduled for 16 August, 2017 at 10 AM. Vendors will meet on the sixth floor in room C6-70 (Conference Room). It is advised that all interested vendors attend the site visit to see what fulfilling this requirement entails (Don t just send a prospective subcontractor). Please prepare your quote consistent with FAR provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors/Commercial Items in paragraph E.1 of the RFQ.
Pay particular attention to the following from that provision;
(b) Offers shall be submitted on the SF 1449;
(4) Provide a technical approach that contains a basis of design to show your intended method to modify utilities and, or damper system to gain compliance with NFPA standards, etal.
(6) Complete Price/cost schedule in section B;
(10) Provide performance information to include three (3) recent and relevant contracts for the same or similar items and other references (including contract numbers, dollar amounts, periods of performance, points of contact with telephone numbers, POC email addresses, and other relevant information).
