This project is to Repair the at Bldg 500, Wing HQ at Malmstrom AFB, (Great Falls) The project includes work to decrease the wear and tear on the doors by constructing a new wind screen. This project reviewed the existing conditions and also analyzed the new designs using digital wind modeling software. The construction of the project will include the following items; the structure will be made up of welded tube steel, the roof material will be standing seam metal roof panels, expansion joints will be used to completely separate the new wind screen from the existing structure, and a small portion of the existing curtain wall will have to be reconstructed to allow for an acceptable connection.
