The Special Projects Branch of the Seattle District contracting division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (hereinafter Seattle District or Special Projects Branch) plans to solicit an Invitation for Bids for the award of a Single Contract for a project entitled "Repair Child Development Centers J00578 & J00580" on JBLM, Washington.


Solicitation number W912DW18B0011 will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov, on or about 24 July 2018. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bids. Bids will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date.

MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The resulting contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract.

Period of Performance: 270 calendar days

Description of Work (Physical Characteristics)

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Special Projects Branch Contracting Office, located at JBLM, WA, requires the contractor to provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, and materials (except as indicated otherwise in the specifications) and perform all work in strict accordance with the contract drawings, the Statement of Work, and specifications to provide Repair of Child Development Centers (CDCs) Buildings 578 and 580. The scope of work at Building 580 includes but is not limited to: remove, store, and reinstall furniture and building contents; remove existing mechanical and electrical equipment and associated finishes; remove building elements, partitions, kitchen equipment and finishes; replace floor coverings; replace ACT ceilings; replace window sills; paint existing walls; expand kitchen area and provide new finishes, plumbing, fire suppression, exhaust ventilation, electrical service, and food prep/kitchen equipment; provide new HVAC air distribution; provide new natural gas domestic heating water boilers; replace domestic hot and cold water piping; replace interior lighting fixtures; replace existing door hardware; provide door operators; provide built-in closets in activity rooms; provide new restroom; provide fire alarm components, fire extinguishers and sprinkler heads; replace exterior building lighting; provide doors with vision panels at activity rooms; and provide viewing windows in existing walls. The scope of work at Building 578 includes but is not limited to: remove, store, and reinstall furniture and building contents; remove existing mechanical and electrical equipment and associated finishes; remove building elements, partitions, kitchen equipment and finishes; replace floor coverings; replace ACT ceilings; replace window sills; paint existing walls; provide new HVAC air distribution; provide new natural gas domestic heating water boilers; replace domestic hot and cold water piping; replace interior lighting fixtures; replace existing door hardware; provide door operators; provide built-in closets in activity rooms; provide new restroom; provide fire alarm components, fire extinguishers and sprinkler heads; replace exterior building lighting; provide doors with vision panels at activity rooms; and provide viewing windows in existing walls.
