The 176th Air Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK, intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single firm- fixed-price contract for the Repair of C-17 Admin Areas, Hangar 21 at the 176th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK. Work consists of the demolition of approx. 240 sq ft of wall, construction of approx. 296 sq ft of wall, removal of a built-in cabinet, removal of an existing door, installation of (3) new doors, installation of a customer service opening, installation of a folding partition, restoration of approx. 809 sq ft off flooring (carpet), restoration of approx. 809 sq ft of ceiling (acoustic tile) and approx. 74 linear ft of base/finishing.

The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 - $75,000.


A bid bond in the amount of 20% of the offer is required.



The total Construction duration is anticipated to be 60 calendar days after notice to proceed.



The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 236220 Commercial and Building Construction. This is a total small business set- aside. The small business size standard is $36.5 million average annual revenue. Your attention is directed to FAR CLAUSE 52.219-14 (b) (4) LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING which states "By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror /Contractor agrees that in performance of the contract the concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees" applies to this project.


The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on or about 1 November 2017.


The tentative date for an organized site visit is 7 November 2017 at the Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK. The meeting location and time is to be determined. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow base access requirements shown in the solicitation.


The solicitation closing date is scheduled for on-or-about 4 December 2017. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation.
