This sources sought is issued solely for the purpose of market research and to obtain information from eligible firms.

The 436 Contracting Squadron, Dover AFB, DE, is seeking small business contractors who possess the capability to Renovate the breakroom kitchen and convert four (4) restrooms to ADA compliance in support of Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations (AFMAO). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:  

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A. Kitchen Renovation Specific Functions: Appliance disconnection, appliance removal, cabinet and counter removal, sink removal, food compact removal,  appliance replacement/install and connection, cabinet replacement/install, sink replacement/install and food compact replacement/install according to all standards required by local, state and federal guidelines.

B. ADA Compliant Bathroom Specific Functions:  Removal of current sinks, mirrors and base cabinets. Repair and paint walls. Install new sinks that are wheelchair accessible and stainless steel framed mirrors that are accessible from wheelchair level according to all standards required by local, state, and federal guidelines and the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design.  

 The Government is requesting that all interested and qualified small businesses respond with a capability statement along with the requested information identified below. An organization that is not considered a small business should not submit a response to this notice. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000.


As permitted by FAR Part 10, this is a market research tool being utilized for informational and planning purposes. Your responses will assist the Government in the development of its acquisition strategy for a possible Request for Proposal (RFP), to be issued at a later date.  


This notice shall not be construed as a RFP/RFQ or as any commitment or obligation on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request, so proposals will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought or any follow-up information requests.


Responses are strictly voluntary - it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in any formal RFP process that may take place in the future. However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence our acquisition strategy. All interested parties will be required to respond separately to any solicitations posted as a result of this sources sought notice.


Submission Instructions: Qualified firms shall submit a statement of interest on company letterhead demonstrating the firm's qualifications to perform the defined work. Responses must be complete and sufficiently detailed to address the specific information. The documentation shall address, at a minimum, the following:

A.     Company Profile to include:

    1. Company name and address 
 
2.  Affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, and potential teaming partners.
3.  Year the firm was established and number of employees.
4.  Two points of contact (names, titles, phone numbers and email addresses).
5. DUNS number and CAGE Code, as registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov/SAM/
6.
Small Business designation/status (must correlate with SAM registration).
7. A summary of projects completed similar to the project outlined above.


The information above must be submitted no later than 2:00 pm EST on 20 February 2019 to Brittney Santiago at brittney.santiago@us.af.mil. You will receive notification when your package is received.

If you do not receive a "received" reply within two business days of submission of your package, please follow-up with the POC listed to confirm receipt.   This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation.  In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the successful offeror must be registered and active in System for Award Management (SAM).  The SAM website is: https://www.sam.gov/.
