Repair Auto Skills Center, Bldg 6541, Illesheim, USAG Ansbach, Germany
1. The scope of work comprises the improvement of the safety conditions at the Auto Skills Center. This includes renovation of the floor (entrance area); relocation of a grinding machine; installation of a control unit, oil separator and dehumidifier for an air compressor unit; upgrade of 3 existing car lifting ramps; installation of emergency lighting and emergency exit signs; replacement of exhaust system; installation of snow gutters.
2. The solicitation will be a C3 (Customer, Contracting, Commerce) Partnering Solicitation, which means a Two Step solicitation under Part 14.501 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Therefore a site visit by all interested vendors is strongly recommended. The invitation letter for the site visit will be available on the internet at the following website: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi on approximately 5 June 2014. All responsible sources may attend the site visit and submit a bid, which will be considered by the Regional Contract Office.
3. The solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.
4. Work will be performed in Germany and contractor must comply with German law (e.g. authorization to do business in Germany).
5. Only local sources are solicited in accordance with FAR 5.202(a)(12).
