Sources Sought

The National Park Service requests information from small business vendors registered under NAICS code 238170 with a Small Business Size Standard $16.5M for an upcoming construction requirement at Fort Smith National Historic Site, 302 Parker Ave, Fort Smith Arkansas.

Project Description: Complete the repair, rehabilitation, replacement, and/or preservation of the copper flashing, parapet walls, exterior roof features, and capstones of the roof structure at the Fort Smith National Historic Site Visitor Center. The work will include copper flashing repairs, tuck-pointing, and/or water sealant application to each of the existing parapet walls, capstones, and roof penetration structures. The existing copper flashing requiring repair is estimated up to 200 square feet; tuck point and/or sealing coverage area of roof structures is estimated up to 500 square feet. Contractor to field verify all measurements and existing conditions.
NOTE: Existing Conditions of the visitor center; the roof is 50-60 feet above ground elevation, exterior roof covering is 100% slate shingles, (4) roof cupolas are located at the ridge cap with sectioned metal ridge cap between each, (4) existing original chimney structures, (6) original air intake structures, (3) existing parapet walls, with lighting protections devices and cabling in place the length of the roof and to grade level of the building. A site visit to the project work location is recommended.


Magnitude of Construction estimate: Between $25,000 and $100,000.
