Repair and rebuild hydraulic system on hydraulic hack saw located at Tooele Army Depot. Intended to be done at contractors facilities.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Maintenance and Repair to Hydraulic Saw Located at Tooele Army Depot; Tooele, UT. Building 1377.
This requirement is to effectively repair and rebuild the hydraulic system on the hydraulic hack saw located in building 1377 on Tooele Army Depot's site.
The base unit is an Armstrong - Blum; hydraulic Hack Sawing Machine / Marvel Series 24. Serial number 24050. Research shows the unit went through Pratt - Whitney in February of 1953 when new.
The unit has been modified to allow remote operation due to hazardous tasks employed by this unit and mission. Mechanical and electrical components for remote operation shall be disconnected by Tooele Army Depot staff prior to contractor moving machine. All connection points and mechanisms must be retained and returned in operating condition.
The unit shall be moved to the contractor's facility (included in price) for repair / rebuild.
The contractor shall provide all labor, parts, material, transport and tools to make this repair.
The physical unit requirements are suggested to be / not all inclusive:
• Physical rigging and move of equipment from existing site / reinstall on site after repair / rebuild.
• Removal of Hydraulic Cylinders
• Remove electric motor and gear pump
• Re-chrome hydraulic cylinder rods
• Replace hydraulic cylinder tubes
• Machine pistons and rod glands to accept new poly pak seals
• Replace all cylinder hydraulic seals
• Replace electric motor with explosion proof motor
• Install new hydraulic pump
• Direct couple hydraulic pump to motor with C face adapter and lovejoy couplings
• Install new piping from reservoir to hydraulic pump
• Install new piping for return line
• Install new 10 micron return filter
• Clean reservoir; assure leak free - replacing seats, fitting and repair as required
• Test for function and system leaks


The above are probable / known listing of requirements. The system can reviewed on site the 2nd of September. Potential contractors are invited to participate in the site visit at Tooele Army Depot; Build 501 South Entrance at 1:00 PM on the 2nd. Travel to the building 1377 site will be provided. Call Gene DeLeeuw at 435/833-2327 to identify self and intent to attend by 5:00 PM on the 1st of September.


Operational Security / on Depot requirements:
Contractor and all associated sub-contractors employees shall provide all information required for background checks to meet installation access requirements to be accomplished by installation Provost Marshal Office, Director of Emergency Services or Security Office. Contractor workforce must comply with all personal identity verification requirements (FAR clause 52.204-9, Personal Identity Verification of Contractor Personnel) as directed by DOD, HQDA and/or local policy. In addition to the changes otherwise authorized by the changes clause of this contract, should the Force Protection Condition (FPCON) at any individual facility or installation change, the Government may require changes in contractor security matters or processes.


For contractors that do not require CAC, but require access to a DoD facility or installation. Contractor and all associated sub-contractors employees shall comply with adjudication standards and procedures using the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index (NCIC-III) and Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB) (Army Directive 2014-05/AR 190-13), applicable installation, facility and area commander installation/facility access and local security policies and procedures (provided by government representative), or, at OCONUS locations, in accordance with status of forces agreements and other theater regulations.
