As part of the County's Government is planning to renovate the building to securely accommodate the County's Cultural and Heritage Museum's large historic artifact and document collection. This 50-year-old-plus single-story facility contains approximately 19,000 conditioned square feet. The renovation work includes reconfiguring the interior space to accommodate the museum's needs and provides for a new building faade and roof (the current flat roof would be replaced with a hip-style roof to facilitate stormwater runoff). A new paved parking area and site landscaping will complete the work.
