Renovation / Addition to Center for Performing Arts
The University is soliciting qualifications for professional services for a renovation/addition project at the Center for Performing Arts. The Center for Performing arts was built in 1976 and contains 65,000 GSF. It is home to the Department of Music and the Department of Theater and Film, and has not had a significant interior renovation since it was constructed.
The project is envisioned to include refurbishing the 270 seat Recital Hall and constructing additional practice space for the chorus, orchestra and band. It may include an expansion of the digital video lab, the digital piano lab, and the music department computer room. Based on available funding, the project will include the renovation of the Lab Theatre and Studio Theatre, as well as enhancing the lobby area for the Centre Theatre. We are looking for options of renovation of existing space - - or the construction of additional space.
