TIERED EVALUTIONS Renovate for Water Quality
The Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Salem, VA requires an experienced contractor to provide all materials, equipment, and labor to complete work associated Renovate for Water Quality, Project #658-15-101, Salem VA Medical Center, 1970 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, VA 24153, as required by drawings and specifications, which will be provided with the solicitation. This is project will require plumbing upgrades in Buildings 2, 2A, 7, 9, 77, 143 and 170 which includes: installing new water heaters, heat exchangers, mixing valves, insulation, and water quality monitoring system. If selected, the construction time allocated for completion of the work associated with Base Bid, as described above is 420 calendar days from notice to proceed by the VA.
This procurement is set-aside on an order of priority as established in 38 U.S.C. 8127
TIERED EVALUATIONS INCLUDING LARGE BUSINESS CONCERNS: This solicitation is being issued as tiered evaluation with the following tiers: (1) SDVOSB concerns, (2) VOSB concerns, (3) small business concerns with HUBZone small business concerns and 8(a) participants having priority; and (4) large business concerns. If award cannot be made, the solicitation will be cancelled, and the requirement resolicited.
This is a Presolicitation only. Interested contractors should watch for the issuance of the solicitation which will have specific instructions and requirements associated with this procurement. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on or after August 13, 2019 with the bid opening occurring on or about 30 days after the solicitation is issued. THESE ARE ONLY TENTATIVE DATES. The solicitation will have specific dates, times, and locations for the bid opening and site visit. The magnitude of construction per VAAR Part 836 is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. All interested parties must be verified in System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting a bid.
