Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), FL has a requirement to Renovate Hanger 68 on Eglin AFB, FL. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5M. The acquisition is a competitive 100% Small Business set aside.

 

Work involves the renovation of an approximately 80,000 sq ft of existing building, which includes, but is not limited to: sitework, utilities, fire suppression upgrade and removal, lead abatement, Fire protection, roofing work, interior partitions/vestibules, interior finishes, HVAC systems, plumbing, restroom renovations, power, and lighting work. Project will consist of 4 phases of construction with a mandatory start date for one, the main fire suppression phase, and contractor determinable start dates for the other phases. Contractor shall comply with the contract, all applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) requirements, in addition to Federal, State, and local requirements. Work will include construction during and around an active mission test schedule. Government escorts may be required for some portions of the work.


In general, the work includes furnishing labor and materials in accordance with the project's Drawings and Specifications, dated 16 April 2019. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the applicable drawings, specifications, industry standards, applicable building and environmental codes, regulations and laws, and the contract document.


The performance period is 365 days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP).


Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. This solicitation will be available ONLY via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov. For information on how to register your company on FBO, to view or receive updates and notifications to the solicitation, please reference the FBO Vendor Guide located on the FBO web site home page. No paper copies of the solicitation will be furnished.


Offerors must thoroughly review the specifications and drawings and submit all questions no later than the date specified in Section L of the solicitation. This will be the only scheduled site visit. During the site visit, detailed at clause 52.236-27 Alt I of the solicitation, offerors will be required to submit any additional questions in writing to the Contracting Officer. Any questions not submitted in writing will not be considered an official response and will not form a basis for an extension of the proposal due date. Official responses to questions received during the site visit will be posted to fbo.gov within 2-days after the site visit. No further questions will be entertained after the site visit.
