Renovate City Hall
The City of Eatonton is accepting bids to renovate City Hall. All qualified bidders are encouraged to inspect City Hall before making any bid. City Hall is a historic building and care is to be taken to maintain the historic nature of the structure in materials and workmanship. The bid will consist of four main parts: interior painting, exterior painting, roof and gutter repair and flooring.
1- The exterior painted surfaces are to be repaired as necessary, prepared and painted with high quality semi-gloss paint.
2- The interior painted surfaces are to be repaired as necessary, prepared and painted with high quality semi-gloss paint. Ceilings are to be flat ceiling white.
3- The historic clay tile roof is to be repaired with similar tiles to match the existing tiles. The historic copper gutters, collection boxes and downspouts are to be repaired or replaced with similar copper items. Other flat roofs will have to be repaired, with new membranes or other materials suitable to City Hall. Roof decks are to be repaired as necessary. Abandoned HVAC equipment atop the building is to be removed and discarded.
4- Carpeting is to be replaced in the Clerks office area, Council Chamber and the Mayors office with similar quality 36 ounce carpeting and 32 ounce padding. The center hardwood floor is to be repaired and refinished. The entry tile floor is to be repaired, sealed and finished.
