Renewable Generating Facility(ies)
The Long Island Power Authority (hereinafter referred to as either "the Authority" or "LIPA") is soliciting proposals through this Request For Proposals ("RFP") from eligible Renewable Generating Facility(ies) ("RGFs") interested in selling one and/or two blocks of energy from such RGF(s) ("RGF Energy") and Renewable Energy Certificates ("RECs") (jointly RGF Energy and RECs referred to as "Renewable Energy"), as follows:
* Block 1: up to 150 GWh/year for a period of ten (10) years of Renewable Energy commencing on or about July 1, 2008; and/or
* Block 2: up to 150 GWh/year for a period of ten (10) years of Renewable Energy commencing on or about July 1, 2009.
