Removal and Installation of Marine Propulsion Engines and Transmissions
The State is seeking qualified respondents to provide the purchase, delivery and installation of two new (current year of production) Caterpillar model C12 marine propulsion engine rated for 660 BHP@ 2300 RPM or equivalent, diesel marine engine and marine transmission to include selectable forward and reverse operation rated for 600 H.P. at minimum duty rating. Marine transmission set up for C12 ACERT Caterpillar engine or equivalent, matched to engine type (if different than Caterpillar) and appropriate for engine rating. Installation shall take place onboard. Installation shall be turn-key and vessel to be sea-trialed and certified by a Caterpillar marine technician or equivalent for other manufacturers to validate manufacturer’s warranty.
