Remote Chart Order Processing Service
Remote chart order processing services (Service Details) is defined by the Nevada State Board as non-dispensary pharmaceutical services provided by an off-site pharmaceutical service provider in lieu of those services being provided by a pharmacy located in a hospital or correctional institution and includes, without limitation:
3.1.1 Receiving, interpreting and clarifying a chart order received from the hospital.
3.1.2 Entering information regarding a chart order into the computerized data system of the hospital pharmacy.
3.1.3 Transferring information regarding a chart order from the off-site pharmaceutical service provider to members of the staff of the hospital that submitted the chart order.
3.1.4 Interpreting clinical data regarding a patient of the hospital.
3.1.5 Performing therapeutic interventions regarding a patient of the hospital and report these to NNAMHS Pharmacy Director.
3.1.6 Provide information to the appropriate staff of the hospital regarding a chart order or treatment of a patient submitted by them.
3.1.7 Ensure that a clarified order is received.
3.1.8 Provide drug information to hospital and medical staff including, but not limited to: Drug-drug interaction Drug-food interaction Drug identification
3.1.9 Pharmacist availability by telephone to provide clinical support to hospital and medical staff.
