The State intends to secure two contracts with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) to serve in each of the
States three PPO Grand Divisions (i.e., East, Middle, and West Tennessee).
The two TPAs in each of the three PPO Grand Divisions shall offer both the Partnership PPO and
Standard PPO benefit options (and any other benefit option that the State subsequently develops).
For each PPO Grand Division, the state will select the two best evaluated proposals. Therefore, the
procurement will result in a minimum of two contracts up to a maximum of six separate contracts. The
TPA will provide network administration, utilization management, and claims adjudication services for
members.
