Region 8 CWN Helicopter Services Type III
The intent of this solicitation and any resultant Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) is to obtain services of Type III Helicopters fully operated by qualified personnel and equipped to meet specifications for use in administration and protection of Public Lands throughout USFS Southern Region 8. Resultant BOAs will be issued as Firm Fixed with multiple awards, the Government intends to resolicit every 24 months to allow additional vendors the opportunity to be awarded agreements. As part of that process the government will request pricing for the following 24-month interval from vendors who already hold agreements. Aircraft furnished may be used for fire support, project, law enforcement, and administrative flights. The government has Interagency and cooperative agreements with Federal and State agencies and private landholders. Aircraft may be dispatched for interagency use. A BOA is a written instrument of understanding, negotiated between the Government and a Contractor, to define terms and prices that may be applied to a future contract between the parties. Notwithstanding the use of the term "contract" throughout this Solicitation, a basic ordering agreement is not itself a contract. Orders issued on awarded BOAs will become binding contracts if and when the Contractor accepts the order. Competition will be limited to Contractors who are established within the states comprised of the USFS Southern Region 8.
