Description of the project:
The Center would like to redesign the existing site within the Wordpress CMS. The current site was developed using a Ruby on Rails framework and the content therefore needs to be migrated to operate within Wordpress. The new site should inherit/uses the same hosting, theme, CSS, and features as http://csgjusticecenter.org.
Introduction:
The What Works in Reentry Clearinghouse (WWRC) was designed to help professionals working in the corrections and criminal justice field access high-quality, complex research on programs and services that reduce the likelihood that someone will reoffend. Many people in this field do not have access to research, or do not have the training necessary interpret and use this complex information. This website aims to meet that need.
Other priorities include:
1)Developing content styles that leverage associated metadata (ratings, etc) that provide visual cues to users
2)Improving the user-interface and adding new features for accessing and summarizing information.
3)Enhancing search engine optimization to increase the Google page rank for this standalone site and for csgjusticecenter.org
The following websites offer interesting features or tools for accessing, summarizing, and/or comparing information:
