Redesign of Website Using Content Management System
The Organization seeks a designer/content management developer to bring together several disparate repositories of information onto a fresh website design including implementation of a content management system. The last redesigned site was launched in 2007. The website also has some areas that are in need of refinement and additional improvement. The Organization website runs on a backbone of asp.net to serve static pages and do database-related work, mostly revolving around event registrations and billing. We would prefer to explore the possibility of some other back end, preferably something open source with a robust user base and support. Drupal would be our first choice, although other platforms will be considered. Strong code commenting is a must in this environment, as is ease of use. NERCOMP would also like some kind of WYSIWYG control panel for most, if not all functions.
