net-ARB.com seeks proposals for the redesigning and visual rebranding of its web site, www.net-arb.com.

net-ARB provides arbitration and dispute resolution services on-line using a custom written, database driven PHP application. The application uses a typical "header and footer" include to manage the look and feel of the site.

net-ARB desires a new website design (and new logo) that blends "legal," "judgment," "mediation," and "referee" concepts with glassy "Web 2.0" visual elements.

The site design may use a separate home page template or use the same template as the rest of the site. The sizes, layouts, and contents of all elements are subject to change and all elements need to be flexible in this regard.

net-ARB will award the contract to the best proposal no later than February 5, 2008. The project completion deadline is March 5th, 2008.

Additional Final contract award requirements:

- HTML code passes HTML compliance testing with either W3C or Tidy. It is understood that both tools have occasional false-positives which will be audited by hand.
- Site should render on Internet Explorer 5.5+, the most recent version of Safari, all versions of Netscape and Opera released in the last 5 years, and the most recent two versions of Firefox and AOL browsers. We recommend BrowserCam for testing.
- Does not require any plug-in, though it can use them as long as it gracefully fails.
- Site design does not interfere with search engine indexing.
- ADA compliant, including deuteranopics.
- Due to back-end program limitations, this project is HTML, not XHTML or XML.
- Site should print neatly without excessive ink consumption (suggest using a "print" CSS media template).

Additional influencing factors:

- Designs that are relatively resolution independent are preferred considering users may access the site on anything from 800x600 monitors to giant Apple Cinema displays.
- Linked CSS is preferred.
- Designs that translate to physical/printed material (business cards, envelopes, stationary, lithographic advertising, etc.) are preferred.
