This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339920 (Sporting and Athletic Goods Manufacturing) and whether or not these items requested are offered on a Federal Supply Schedule.
The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking sources to provide a Recumbent Cross Trainer Exercise Bike.
The vendor shall be able to provide a brand name (SCIFIT Pro2) or equal offering the following salient characteristics:
Hospital grade and provide users with a full body cardio-vascular and strength exercise experience
Must fit within a 5.5 L x 2.5 W x 5.5 H footprint
Accommodate users up to 450lbs in weight
Comfortably accommodate male and female users that range in height from 4 6 to 6 4
The machine should feature a console for users with easy-to-read display and instructions that is battery operated
Feature a seat that has a safe, sturdy grab ring or bar that must swivel 360 degrees
The seat should also feature safety arm supports to facilitate efficient and safe transfers on and off
The instructions must be clear, concise and user friendly and should be easily read by users of all ages
Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing this product. Please include your business size with your submittal and whether or not this product is offered via Open Market or via FSS.
This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339920 and the small business size standard is 750 Employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Omar.Cante@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on March 29, 2017.
