Recreational Development on Lake Hartwell
The Materials Management Office of the South Carolina Budget and Control Board has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a public recreation facility to be financed, built and operated on land leased from the federal government at Lake Hartwell by the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism (SCPRT).
The facility would be on a peninsula near the South Carolina Welcome Center off Interstate 85 at the Georgia-South Carolina border, on the opposite side of the interstate from Lake Hartwell State Recreation Area.
