The work of this project involves the reconstruction of existing gravel walkways at the Broad Meadows Marsh restoration site in Quincy, Massachusetts. Existing walkways traverse excavated material placed when excavations were completed to create the marsh and related restored environments. The reconstruction work is intended to increase the usability of the gravel walkways for pedestrians. Specific work includes clearing and grubbing vegetation, placing weed barrier fabric, and placing and compacting dense graded crushed stone. Work crews from the City of Quincy will be working at this site, following the Contractor's work and creating a berm of material adjacent to both edges of the new walkway and seeding these berms.
