Recondition and Reseed
This work entails furnishing all equipment, labor and materials necessary to reseed and stabilize the side slopes of the approximately 1.5 acre total containment sediment pond (i.e. no outlet). The side slopes were originally seeded as part of a previously completed reconstruction project. It is the intent of this project to establish desirable perennial vegetation in conjunction with reducing rills and sheet erosion, and potential weed establishment within the project area.
Rills (erosional features) on the slopes of the embankments (primarily the north- and south-facing slopes will be tilled with a heavy duty chain harrow to recontour and recondition, in preparation of the areas being seeded and planted. l seeded (parallel with the contour) and mulched with MDT organic compost.
