Real Estate Valuation Consultant
You are invited to review and respond to the California State Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS), Request for Proposal (RFP), entitled Real Estate Valuation Consultant, RFP Number 2P200821.
CalSTRS seeks a firm to provide Valuation Consulting Services (Valuation or Appraisal Consultant") for the CalSTRS Real Estate Unit. The Valuation Consultant's role/background may include but not be limited to:
Providing on-going Valuation Consulting Services, including opinions on best practices" for CalSTRS annual appraisal process, and interpretations of current financial reporting rules, definitions and requirements;
Performing real estate valuations and managing the valuation process for CalSTRS Real Estate;
Expertise in reporting procedures for Pension Funds so that operational and financial reporting issues are fully considered in the valuation process;
Knowledge of industry best practices and the ability to evaluate or audit the internal valuation practices of CalSTRS third party Advisors or Partners;
Providing services on a domestic or global basis;
Expertise in valuing entity level interests or the general partner interest in commingled funds.
The anticipated term of the contract is three (3) years, with two (2) one (1) year options to extend at CalSTRS' sole discretion.
