Real Estate Title Agency
The City intends to acquire between fifteen (15) and twenty-five (25) properties, some of which will be transferred to the City through expropriation, and seeks to engage a qualified Real Estate Title Agency for a contract period of one (1) year to perform the following services on behalf of the City in order to facilitate these acquisitions:
A. Provide full service real estate closings for certain residential properties to be identified by the City;
B.Issue policies of Title Insurance for properties identified by the City;
C. Prepare the appropriate transfer and closing related documents for the City for the identified properties;
D. Engage in the review of documents as necessary and directed by the City to facilitate the transfer of ownership of the identified properties to the City;
E. Update title abstracts provided by the City, verify any and all encumbrances, ownership interest and any other points of interest relating to the identified properties;
F.Coordinate the real estate closings for properties identified by the City at a location to be determined in writing by the City;
G. Complete needed recording of closing documents related to the transfer of ownership of
the identified properties to the City;
H. Meet with City personnel as requested and necessary to complete the
prescribed work;
I. Perform any other related services as directed by the City;
J.Cooperate with the City and any other contractors providing services to the City as needed.
