ReWalk Service and Training Contract (VA-18-00040100)
The Veterans Administration James J Peters VA Medical Center Research and Development Group in Bronx, NY intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions (VHSS) to provide service, parts and training for previously procured ReWalk Exoskeleton 6.0 Devices, in accordance with FAR part 8.405-6. This equipment is utilized for research projects that allow persons with paralysis from spinal cord injury (SCI), who have severe walking impairments, the ability to stand, walk, turn, and sit independently or with assistance. This VA sponsored research study is designed to place the specialized ReWalk exoskeletons in the homes of veterans with SCI. The service and any necessary parts are required to maintain the equipment previously procured from VHSS. The clinical training is needed to train the patient s physical therapists. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Friday, March 19, 2018, 4:00, EST. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
