The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central is issuing this Sources Sought Notice on behalf of
Department of Pathology and Area Laboratory Services (DPALS) Microbiology Labs at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) located at Joint Base San Antonio, TX 78234. Any responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used for planning purposes only. Based on the responses to this notice, the requirement may be set- aside for small businesses, procured through full-and-open competition, or result in a sole-source contract. This notice is not a solicitation of offers, nor is it a notice to proceed.

The San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) has a requirement for one (1) Automated Random Access Multiplex Analyzer and one back-up system capable of processing infectious disease serological and autoimmune testing for Syphilis IgM Treponema assay (T. pallidum); HIV p24 antigen detection; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella‐Zoster‐Virus (MMRV) consolidated testing; ANA
screening to include dsDNA and Sm markers for SLE and Rheumatoid Arthritis; Toxoplasma gondii, CMV, and Rubella (ToRC) IgG consolidated testing; and EBV IgG and IgM. The contractor shall provide all necessary installation, removal of items resulting from installation, shipping, customer training at time of installation, and all other necessary items required personalization text and voicemail for this site. If not the manufacturer of the equipment the vendor must provide documentation showing they are an authorized service provider for this equipment. The type of solicitation issued will be based upon the responses to this synopsis.


The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 325413 - "Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing". The Small Business Size Standard is 1250.


If your organization has the potential capacity to provide Random Access Multiplex Analyzer and infectious disease serological and autoimmune testing as stated above, please provide the following information:


1) Organization name, cage code, address, e-mail address, Web site address, telephone number, and size (small versus large business, and any other socio-economic categories) and type of ownership for the organization;


2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate
documentation supporting claims of organizational capability, to include proof of authorization to provide maintenance and repair services on above-listed equipment.


THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this notice is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.


Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the above listed services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 10:00 A.M.
