THIS IS NOTICE TO SOLE SOURCE ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for Radiation Safety Officer, Radiation Protection, Laser Safety Officer, and Radiation Waste Collection and Disposal Services at the Iowa City VA Health Care System located in Iowa City, IA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541380 (Testing Laboratories) (Size Standard: $15 million). Network Contracting Office 23, Minneapolis intends to sole source this requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source to the University of Iowa located at 105 Jessup Hall, Iowa City, IA 52242.

Other contractors who believe they can meet the above requirements may provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by June 30th 4:00 P.M. (CST). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability of the vendor to perform Radiation Safety Officer, Radiation Protection, Laser Safety Officer, and Radiation Waste Collection and Disposal Services that will comply with the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Interested firms must provide a Capability Statement with the following information: Company Name, Address, Point Of Contact, Telephone and Fax Number, Email Address, Business Size, and DUNS Number. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to the University of Iowa. Responses may be emailed to Mr. Shea Colby at shea.colby@va.gov by the deadline stated above. All contractors are hereby notified if your response is not received by the due date and time specified in this notice, it will not be considered. The Justification and Approval document will be made available via FBO in accordance with FAR 6.305.
