The County invites qualified vendors to submit proposals to provide a Radar Rainfall Data for the Flood Control District (District) beginning on or about April 15, 2010 and continuing for twelve (12) months thereafter.
The District requires accurate rainfall data for flood control applications and to assess the flood threats during heavy rainfall across the watersheds that affect the County. The District has developed a tool that will allow expeditied understanding of flood events (and near flood events) immediately after they occur. This will allow the District to quickly develop an understanding of events and the performance of District infrastructure during the event.
A.The objective of this RFP is to establish a contact with a vendor to:
1.Provide GARR data in real-time;
2.Provide AQ-GARR data on an ongoing monthly basis; and
3.Optionally provide spatially-distributed predictive rainfall data for the District.
B.The data should be available to the District through a website hosted by the awardee.
C.The GARR/AQ-GARR data shall be assigned to a 1 km x 1 km grid.
