ROB Addition at UD
The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Project # 646-373, "RESEARCH OFFICE BUILDING (ROB) ADDITION", at the Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). All SDVOSB bidders must be verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) and be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). Interested parties should also register as such on the FBO website.
The purpose of this acquisition is to expand Building 30 University Drive Research Office Building. This project will involve the construction of basement and two elevated floors, to be aligned with the main levels of the existing Building 30. The expansion will include wet benches, lab support equipment space, animal research and holding areas, administrative area for research staff, retaining wall for the parking lot/loading dock modification, and connections for installation of owner relocated lab equipment.
The construction cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million.
In accordance with FAR 5.203, this notice is being published at least fifteen days before issuance of the solicitation
The solicitation with any and all pertinent information, including specifications, drawings, and amendments will be published on the Fed Biz Opps website.
Proposals will be due 30 days after the solicitation is issued and any resulting contract will be awarded no later than September 30, 2014.
The Government is under no obligation to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation.
