The City is requesting proposals from qualified firms to prepare a master plan for a proposed non-motorized multi-use trail. The proposed trail will be 10 wide and consist of a variety of surfaces dependent upon geographic conditions. The master plan will identify the proposed alignment of an approximately 5 mile trail loop connecting the City of Thomasville's major historic parks and neighborhoods. The proposed trail will consist of 5 phases, each phase connecting to a major city park and historic district. A copy of the preliminary trail map is on file in the City of Thomasville Planning Department. For each phase, the master plan will include renderings and representations of the proposed trail at key intersections and connectivity points. The master plan will include a proposed alignment and identify key historic resources along the proposed alignment. The master plan will also provide for a parcel database of properties along the proposed alignment. The master plan will also include a preliminary engineering study for the proposed trail. The trail master plan should also identify points along the trail for wayfinding and historic information signs. The master plan will include design of all signage along the proposed trail. Work will also include the construction of the signage along Phase 1 of the trail.
