RFQ # 10356 Lease Highway Striper

The County of Monterey Resource Management Agency, Public Works Department, Roads and Bridges Division hereinafter referred to as "County", is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations, hereinafter referred to as "CONTRACTOR", to solicit lease quotations for one (1) new 2011 or 2012 model year self-contained, self-propelled Truck Mounted Highway Striper (hydraulic driven airless) with Airless Spray. The unit shall operate in "paint mode" at speeds of up to 12 MPH, putting down up to 3 lines in at least 2 colors at 15 mils. The striper will carry up o three paint colors on board. It is the intent of the using department to stripe using low VOC solvent paint, but the striper shall be waterborne compatible for future paint needs.
This solicitation is intended for a single, exclusive AGREEMENT
The vehicle shall be designed so that it operates in its own lane of traffic and can apply centerline and lane line/edge line simultaneously. Independent carriage steering systems shall allow adjustment of the striping gun carriages. The Unit shall be capable of over the road speeds up to 55 mph minimum. Overall height not to exceed 12' and overall length shall not exceed 33' in the storage mode.
