The City invites submittal of responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified and experienced architectural firms for services required to evaluate, identify, and recommend solutions for the adaptive reuse of the Historical Farmstead. The Farmstead consists of a main house, three out buildings, a storm shelter, well and pump house. The resources are considered historically significant to the community and, as such, were relocated out of the construction path of the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT). The City would like to initiate an adaptive reuse of the resources to allow community groups to occupy the resources as offices, museum and/or assembly uses. The services to be performed by the Architect under this contract shall consist of providing project research and data collection to determine funding options available for the Farmstead Adaptive Reuse Project (Project) for the City. Services shall also consist of providing project involvement to coordinate among the City (City) and concerned parties. This portion of the Project is known as Research, Data Collection and Project Involvement (Phase A). The Architect shall furnish the materials required to perform the research and data collection services except as described in the Additional Services section of this document.
