Web based application for displaying homes for sale
This project involves building an application that would query a real estate multiple listing database for several fields of data and photos. This information would then be displayed on a flat screen computer via a web site and would randomly scroll through the homes that met certain business rules. An example of a business rule might be that the home has been on the market for 5 days or less, or that the home has had a price reduction. The application would need to update the data several times throughout the day. Familiarity with an industry specific database protocol known as RETS is necessary as it allows for immediate access to the data once uploaded to its system by the real estate community, versus an FTP type system that limits availability to once or twice per day. Finally, the presentation of the data and photos would need to be visually appealing, and consistent with the look and feel of this website: www.atlantafinehomes.com
