Proposals from 501c(3) organizations and properly incorporated for profit entities meeting the following evidenced requirements will be considered. These include: 1) a track record of providing community building programs and/or facilities; 2) sound adequate fiscal resources; 3) strong managerial expertise; 4) a commitment to creation of social change for the good of the greater community and 5) the ability to orchestrate significant code required upgrades and compliance of a large educational or commercial facility.
The Chatham Savannah YFA invites proposals for the opportunity of receiving the 28,000 St. Pius Family Life Center located in beautiful Savannah, Georgia. In its current configuration this facility includes a fully functional gymnasium; commercial kitchen, 18 classrooms; 3 computer labs; day care center; medical clinic; and various support spaces. The facility is in need of rehab; significant renovation and upgrades.
Programs/projects should be self sustaining and provide long term viability. Initiatives can be for profit or not for profit but must make some services available at little or no cost to recipients; taking into consideration the existential needs of the young, poor, elderly and ill. Successful proposals will present benefits and opportunities for diverse, mixed income and multiple age groups. Elements that live into YFA's vision of empowered children and youth are also essential. The ideal proposal will utilize the existing facility by merging people serving programs with revenue generating services in a symbiotic partnership.
