RFP for Commissioning Services
The State intend to
secure contracts with a qualified consultant(s) who shall provide building commissioning services for
Board of Regents facilities. Commissioning services may be required for both existing buildings
and new construction. They may also vary in scope and/or extent of services to be provided based upon
the needs of the state. Project locations shall be throughout Tennessee, varying in number and location
from year to year and subject to funding appropriation and/or availability of State funds.
Upon contracting for services, successful Proposers, as Contractors, shall serve as Commissioning Agent
(CA) on behalf of the Tennessee Board of Regents and shall provide professional and specialized services
in any appropriate technical discipline within the broad field of commissioning, as approved by the
Tennessee Board of Regents of specified projects. The Tennessee Board of Regents shall manage
commissioning activities through individual Commissioning Work Order Agreements, which stipulate the
project-specific services and cost for each Commissioning project or assignment (See Commissioning
Proposal and Work Order Agreement). The State of Tennessee, The University of Tennessee, Department
of Finance and Administration, Real Property Administration and/or other state agencies may secure
contracts for their respective state agencies under separate contracts.
